Robert Korngold, Ph.D.
Dr. Korngold, a distinguished figure in hematopoietic cell transplantation, has excelled as a researcher, educator, scientist, and institutional leader. Though retired since 2021, he maintains Emeritus Member status at CDI, HMH in Nutley, NJ. Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, formerly BBMT, by the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation. With over 160 publications and extensive experience securing research grants, primarily from NCI and NHLBI of NIH, Dr. Korngold's 46-year research journey has focused on T cell immunology, GVHD, graft-versus-tumor responses, minor histocompatibility antigens, and immunotherapy. His contributions, including pioneering work on GVHD etiology, are widely acclaimed.
